Shipping & Receiving Associate

The R.A. Siegel Company is seeking a full-time Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our Operations Department. The following is a description of the position responsibilities. Successful candidates must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to effectively multi-task and most importantly, be a team player.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday. Duties will be mostly office duties with some potential duties in the warehouse operations. Normal work hours will be 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM with flexibility to work a different schedule, based upon company need.
Essential Job Functions - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
-Ensure service satisfaction of our customers (internal & external). This includes making sure that every effort is made that our customers receive correct material, on time and undamaged.
-Execute & Manage company processes (including warehouse manuals, Shipping -Manuals, process improvement manuals, Company Handbook).
-Initiate and execute process improvements to increase productivity within the organization.
-Ensure drivers turn in all necessary paperwork.
-Make decisions on what needs to go on freight vs. our trucks.
-Back up to ensure that cycle counts are being performed as scheduled.
-Coordinate with warehouse to ensure trucks are posted the same day they are received.
-Ensure all orders are filled.
-Correcting inventory when needed (other than cycle counts) a.k.a. found material, lost material, damaged material and incorrect serial numbers.
-Enthusiastically greet customers for pick up. Ensuring they receive their orders accurately and timely (less than 6 minute goal)
-Acts as the Liaison between Customer Service & Credit Department to relay detailed information regarding customer shipments.
-Set up transfer orders from inbound stock trucks, and making sure weight is in DOT regulations
-Change orders as needed when material can't be found.
-Create receivers for all inbound trucks.
-Scan manifests into the system and save under proper files.
-Maintain KPI's (key performance indicators) for inbound and outbound shipments.
-Be back up for reviewing and approving incoming and outgoing freight invoices
-Be back up for posting returned goods authorizations.
Requirements:
-High School Diploma or equivalent with College a plus.
-Current Valid Driver's License
-Knowledge of DOT regulations - very important to have experience in scheduling daily routes and deliveries.
-Experience with AS 400 software platforms preferred
-Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Experience in shipping/receiving processes
-Ability to think and problem solve in a timely manner and cost effectively
-Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, and meets deadlines
-Good communication skills
-Typical office and Warehouse environment. Hours required M-F 10AM-7:00PM
-Weekends when required.
-Skilled in warehouse & driver safety preferred.
-Warehouse experience preferred
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
